Aileron and flap

Today was spent riveting the gussets into place on the right aileron and flap. Some of the rivets could be accessed with the hand rivet squeezer, but a lot of them were in awkward places and I had to used the pneumatic rivet gun for many of them. Most of the rivets went well, but I did drill a couple out and replaced them a different size. Some of the holes required longer rivets where they went through 3 layers of aluminium skin.

I finished off with a couple of countersunk pop rivets near the tail end of the ribs where weren't accessible any other way.

When finished I refitted the aileron and flap to check again for clearance. It looks like everything fits well. Grant Bisset sent me photos of his hinge covers which made it very easy to see how to make them.
