Right Aileron and flap, Signwriting

Trailing edges

This morning I riveted the trailing edges into place with stainless steel 1/8 rivets called for in the plans. There's not a lot of room on the end of the ribs to fit 2 rivets in, so they ended up being quite tightly spaced. The idea is that trailing edges can be moved in or out as required to adjust the line from wingtip to wing root. However mine didn't require any adjustment at all.

Wingtip

I fitted the wingtip into place and drilled holes for clecos to hold it into place in the nutplates I had already installed. This made it quite rigid. I was then able to extend the line from the trailing edge of the flap and aileron, and the remove and cut the end of the wingtip to shape. The i reattached it, ready for adding fibreglass tomorrow.

Signwriting

The signwriters sent through a proof of concept for the exterior decals that I quite like. I plan to visit them tomorrow and make a decision.
