Flap, Aileron, Wingtip
Flap
Today I removed the flap and prepared it for covering. I bought some strapping tape and taped all the sharper surfaces. Tomorrow I plan to cover it.
Aileron
I removed the aileron and tomorrow I'll prepare it for covering.
Wingtip
I cut small piece of fibreglass mat, wet it down with resin, then rolled it up lengthways and pressed it into the trailing edge of the wingtip. I had used the angle grinder with a cutting disk to make a cut about an inch into the outside of the wingtip. This relieved the pressure and allowed me to hold it in the shape I wanted while the resin sets. I've brought it inside the house and put it in a room with the heater on to help it cure. Tomorrow I'll add some more resin to increase the strength.
The whole wingtip is over 5ft in length.
