Rib stitching, aileron cables, cleaning

Rib stitching

I finished rib stitching the flap, then added 2" fabric tapes. I ran out of tape so I'll be ordering more to complete the aileron and to overlap the main joins.

Aileron cables

I fitted the cables to the right wing and connected them to check for clearance. I decided to cut the holes through to the large lightening hole in the ribs nearest to the aileron bellcrank. I'll probably add some reinforcing tomorrow. I also widened out the remaining holes and fitted plastic bushings into them. The new cables seem to fit very well and give additional clearance.

Cleaning

Finally I vacuumed the inside of the wing in preparation for closing it. It had a lot of aluminium filings from the past 3 weeks work.
