Wing riveting
Today I began closing the right wing. I started by riveting the inboard section closed, then adding the nutplates around the wing root and fuel tank access cover.
Next I riveted the Pitot backing plate into place. This was difficult to access, but I eventually got it done and continually checked the rivets using the iPhone inside the wing. One had to be drilled out and re-done but the success rate was otherwise good.
I then used the same method to rivet the two rows closest to the main spar. It got progressively more difficult to reach inside the wing and I'm going to get assistance for the rest of it. Mainly it's a two person job for one to hold the bucking bar, and another on the rivet gun.
