Closing the right wing
This morning a friend helped me to rivet the right wing closed. We worked from the main spar aft, and together riveted half of it. I was then able to work solo and close the remainder.
I then worked around the wing ends and added nut-plates to the wingtip.
Next, I riveted the trailing edge stiffener into place. I had to remove several of the aileron and flap hinges to access the rivets around those areas, then reinstall and torque the AN3 bolts.
Finally, I installed the nutplates on each end of the fuel tank bay. I've now got just the 4 corner nutplates left to install tomorrow. Then I'll re-fit the flap torsion bar, and the pitot/static lines, all of which I removed to access rivets.
He mobile phone camera came in very handy to continually check whether rivets were set properly.
