Aileron pocket covers

This morning I refitted the flap torsion tube and the pitot and AOA tubes that had been removed for riveting. Then I attached the flap springs.

I then used pop-rivets to attach the aileron pocket covers. Next, I marked, drilled, and dimpled the top and bottom trailing edges and riveted them with flush solid 3/32 rivets. To keep the trailing edges straight I laid some aluminium angle along the edge over the top of the rivets and clamped it into place, then used the rivet squeezer over the top. This kept it all pretty straight. I also riveted the end rib into place that holds the wing-tip.

Once this was all finished I hung the aileron and checked for sufficient travel - 23° up and 17° down. It has plenty of travel and all unobstructed.
