Left wing, Nutplates, Fuel line rib holes, Aileron Balance Cable

Nutplates

I drilled all the remaining fuel tank access cover nutplate holes, deburred, countersunk them, then riveted nutplates along the spar line. The rest will be done when the wing gets closed up later in the week.

I also drilled and dimpled nutplate holes on the lower skin wing root and wing tip. I'll do the top side once the wing is topside up.

Fuel line rib holes

I marked and drilled holes in the two wing root ribs for the tank fuel lines to exit through. These are difficult to locate due to their position so some estimation is required.

Aileron Balance Cable

Using a cardboard template I marked then drilled the ribs out to the flap bar. Then I inserted a steel rod and used that to estimate the angle up to the aileron bellcrank. After drilling a small hole through each rib, I then corrected where necessary and enlarged with a step drill. Once that was done and deburred, I then attached the aileron balance cable.
