Fuel connections, Door sill, Kydex panels
Fuel connections
This afternoon I finished making the tank to fuselage fuel connections, including adding a bead to the main fuel lines. I also bought some more 1/4 inch line for the sight gauges and made them over size with one end flared. Not sure how I'm going to fit them at this stage due to the confined space.
Door sill
The left door sill was proud by 1-2 mm and causing the door to be difficult to close once I had added the rubber trim, so I removed the sill and filled the screw holes with epoxy so I can redrill them tomorrow. While I had the sill off I trimmed it slightly as I noticed it was digging into my leg when sitting in the seat. I then added a rubber trim to that part of both front door sills.
Kydex
I fitted several of the Kydex panels. The Velcro wasn't really holding well on the panel by the skylight so I added some black screws.
Next, I added screws to the piece on the instrument panel. This is a bit of an experiment because I'm not sure how it will handle being in the direct sunlight. It may buckle, in which case I'll replace it with vinyl.
