Aircraft assembly
Today I finished most of the assembly tasks. There's a few more to go, but they shouldn't be required for any of the checks. We were focused on completing tasks for tomorrow's 100 hour/annual check.
Todays items included:
- Torqued the propeller bolts to 60ft/lbs.
- Checked control cable tension and lock wired one flap cable.
- Tightened lock nuts on the left aileron push rod.
- Tightened the oil and fuel lines FWF.
- Replaced two AN4 bolts attaching the transducer.
- Cut the original cockpit trim cable fairlead holder open and attached a new one that I fabricated in order to raise the trim cables 1/2 and inch.
- Removed the interior ready for the inspection.
- Tightened and put split pins in the rod end nuts at the top of the landing gear struts.
- Changed the tailwheel springs over to the compression springs that I purchased from AircraftSpruce.
- Calibrated the prop Governor so that it's clear of the nose cowling.
- Printed off the maintenance schedule and Pilot Operating Handbook.
