Day 74

Center Console

Started the morning working a little bit on the heating channel area by cutting out pieces of high density foam to fill in large gaps along the channels. We were able to source some SikaFlex 295UV sealant (Recommended from Sling Technical) from Amazon, scheduled for delivery March 16th. This will be used to seal all the seams along the heat ductwork channels to the rear passengers. We also have some soundproofing foam on order for delivery early next week so that we can finish insulating the rear floor.

We also started assembling the Center Console. Started by installing the 42 rivnuts in all the panels. Next Cleco’ed everything together to make sure it all fit and was properly aligned. Then finished this assembly by riveting the console together.

We also started assembling the Brake Throttle Quadrant today by installing the various rivnuts and brackets together. We made sure to use Red high strength 280T Loctite on each of the rivnuts as instructed in the build manual.

Tomorrow work some more on this assembly, as well as we expect a delivery of four large crates from sling that we hope to be able to start inventorying.
