Day 75

Built the Throttle Brake Quadrant today. We have two items on back order before we can complete the assembly. (4xspacers and the Hand Brake Master Cylinder) We didn’t tighten any bolts yet so that they can all be properly torqued at the same time when the assembly is completed. Not all of the bolt and screw holes were the proper sizes. Many needed to be drilled out and deburred. Once that was done, everything went together smoothly.

Our crates have not arrived yet. There are many parts on back order that are inhibiting progress until they arrive. Because we’ve bounced around so much in the build manuals, building what can be done, we went through and put place markers on all the pages that are still needing to be completed. That way we won’t miss any sections of the build.

Now waiting on FedEx…

FedEx showed! We’ll start going through crates and see what we have.

So the crates that came are;

1. Canopy Kit
2. Rotax 915is Motor
3. Firewall Forward & Fuel System Kit
4. Finishing Kit

Did a quick look through of the crates. We’ll do a complete inventory check first of next week. We did discover that there are NOT any back ordered items for previous kits. This makes things difficult in further finding what can be worked on. Most of the things that have come cannot be started until previous assemblies are completed. There is also a lengthy list of back ordered items for the crates that just arrived. After we complete an inventory check to make sure nothing else is missing we will submit the list.
