Day 133

Finished the cap for the rudder today. We measured and drilled out the holes for the beacon light, made holes for the wires, Cleco’ed the cap on, drilled and de-burred the holes and riveted it all in place. We then filled in the rivets with body filler and sanded them off smooth. The rudder is all ready for paint now when we get to that part.

We also unwrapped the canopy. We removed the hatches to make it easier to move around, and have set it on 2x4’s up on the fuselage. Next week we will work on getting it fitted.

We also heard back on a few wiring questions on the firewall forward section we had and have been working to get them routed correctly.
