Paint top coat

I got out to the workshop early while temperatures were lower and sprayed the top coat onto both sides of the fuselage. Just when I thought I couldn’t make any more mistakes, I got a lot of over-spray on the top and bottom. I hadn’t thought to mask them, because I was painting the same color orange. But as I’ve discovered, the overspray removes the beautiful gloss and dulls the finish.

I’m not sure how to fix this problem, but I’m going to try a detailing clay tomorrow to see if the overspray can be removed. One thing I’ve learned is that when it comes to spray painting, having some previous experience is a huge benefit.
