Wing Inspection Panels
I spent the morning reading how to install the wing inspection panels, then this afternoon I set about drilling and preparing them for the nut-plates. I match-drilled each one in place on the wing, but I won’t rivet them until I’m nearly ready to close the wing because it’ll make it difficult to prop the lower skin open for the inside work.
The nutplate tool made life much easier today. It eliminates the need to position the nutplates with clecos for drilling and provides a great template that is fast and accurate to use.
I also got an order placed for the parts I need to complete the wings, and most of the hardware should be here in the next day or two.
