Aileron and flap hinges

This morning I added a joggle to both the aileron and flap hinges. This accommodates the extra width of the rod end bearings. Next was to drill out the temporary rivets holding the gussets in place and remove them. Then I lined everything up and checked it with the wooden template supplied with the kit.

Once everything was aligned I marked around the hinges, then removed and drilled the holes for the AN3 nutplates. I then used the nutplates as a guide to drill the rivet holes, countersunk them, then began riveting them in place. There's not a lot of room to work, and it required using the rivet air gun.
