Right Wing root, ELT switch, Fuel sight gauges

Right Wing root

I spent today looking at how the wing root was going to attach to the fuselage and preparing it.

I used a reamer to clear the wing attach bolt holes. Due to the difficulty of access I used a spanner to turn the reamer.

I also bent the forward and aft fuel lines on each side to sit flat along the top of the doors.

ELT switch

It became obvious that the plug that attaches to the ELT switch would protrude too far into the wing root, and wasn't centred on a lightening hole. So I moved the switch forward approximately 2 inches. I will use one of the regulatory placards to cover the hole.

Fuel sight gauges

The fuel sight gauges didn't appear to be completely secure. When I disassembled them I could see that a small flange on each AN fittings was preventing the fitting from sitting flat. I made up 4 aluminium washers and added these around each fitting.
